Nannies for Expat & Local Families

Nannies for families who live in Bali

If Bali is home, you need more than a holiday sitter: someone reliable who turns up every day, fits your family and stays. We place part-time, full-time and live-in nannies with expat and local families across the island, and we stay involved after the start.

  • Expat and local families
  • Part-time to live-in
  • School runs and after-school

Finding the right nanny, not just a nanny

We start with a conversation about your family: the children's ages, your working hours, the languages you want spoken at home, whether you need school runs, cooking or light housekeeping, and the kind of person you would be happy to have in your home every day. Then we introduce one to three nannies who fit, with their experience and references, and arrange interviews and a paid trial day.

Our nannies for long-term roles are experienced, life support trained and personally vetted, and many have worked for expat families for years. We explain local norms around hours, pay, public holidays such as Nyepi and Galungan, and leave, so the arrangement is fair and lasts.

Support after you hire

Placement is the beginning, not the end. We check in during the first weeks, help with any adjustments, and if it is not working we find a replacement. We can also cover sick days and holidays with a temporary sitter so your routine does not fall apart.

For families who are new to Bali, we are happy to point you towards schools, paediatricians, baby equipment hire and the practical things that make settling in easier.

Nannies for Expat & Local Families: your questions

How do you vet nannies for long-term placements?

We interview every nanny in person, check their identity documents and references from previous families, and confirm their childcare experience and basic life support training. We only put forward nannies we know personally or who come recommended by families we have worked with.

Can we do a trial before committing to a nanny?

Yes. We recommend a paid trial day or two so you can see how the nanny is with your children and in your home before agreeing a start date.

What happens on Balinese holidays like Nyepi and Galungan?

Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, closes the whole island for 24 hours, including the airport, and Balinese staff spend Galungan and Kuningan with their families. We explain the calendar when you hire, so you can plan around it, and we can arrange cover with non-Balinese carers where that is appropriate.
