Newborn & Infant Care

Newborn, baby and toddler care in Bali

Travelling with a baby is wonderful and exhausting in roughly equal measure. Our infant carers are the calm, experienced hands that give you a nap, a swim or a whole night's sleep, with your baby's routine followed to the letter.

Carers who specialise in babies

Not every babysitter is a baby person. The carers we send to families with newborns and infants are chosen for exactly that: mothers and experienced nannies who are confident with bottle preparation and sterilising, winding, nappies, settling techniques, safe sleep and the thousand small things that make a baby content.

If you are breastfeeding, a carer can bring the baby to you and take them away again settled, so you get the rest between feeds. If you are bottle feeding, we follow your formula, quantities and timings exactly, and we are happy to use your own equipment or bring our own sterilising kit.

Keeping babies safe and comfortable in Bali

Bali is warm and humid all year, so our carers are careful with hydration, shade, sun protection and air-conditioned rest. Mosquito protection, safe drinking water for formula and keeping an eye on heat rash are second nature to them. We can also recommend baby equipment hire companies that deliver cots, prams, car seats and sterilisers to your villa.

Should your baby be unwell, our carers know the paediatric clinics and international hospitals in southern Bali and Ubud and will contact you immediately.

Newborn & Infant Care: your questions

Can you look after a newborn in Bali?

Yes. We have carers who specialise in newborns and young babies, including feeding, winding, settling, nappies and safe sleep. Tell us your baby's age, feeding method and routine and we will match a carer with the right experience.

Do infant carers follow our routine and feeding method?

Exactly as you describe it. Breastfed babies are brought to you for feeds; bottle-fed babies get your formula at your quantities and times. Sleep routines, white noise, swaddles, dummies and everything else you use are followed.

Is the tap water in Bali safe for making up formula?

No. Tap water in Bali is not safe to drink. Our carers use bottled or filtered water for formula and for washing bottles, and boil water for sterilising. Most villas provide large bottled water dispensers; we can also recommend baby equipment hire companies that deliver sterilisers.
