Caring for children across Bali for over 15 years.
Bali Bloom Day Care began the way most good things in Bali do: a family on holiday, a Balinese carer who was wonderful with their children, and friends asking “can we borrow her?”. That carer is Kadek, our founder. Over 15 years of looking after visiting and resident families, she has built the reputation this agency is now built on.
Today Kadek leads a small, carefully chosen team of babysitters and nannies and takes care of every booking personally: she talks to you, matches the carer to your family, briefs them and checks in while you are out. We are deliberately not a big agency. If something is not right, you talk to Kadek directly on WhatsApp.

How we choose carers
Vetting that goes beyond a form
Every carer is interviewed in person by Kadek, in English and in Bahasa Indonesia. We check her identity card and her references from previous families, confirm her experience with the ages she will be caring for, and she completes BIMC Hospital’s basic life support course before her first booking. The detail is on our safety standards page, and each carer’s profile is on the team page.
Then comes the part no form captures: we watch how they are with children. Warmth, patience, a sense of humour and the confidence to say “no, we don’t do that near the pool”. Most of our team are mothers, and many have worked with the same holiday families for years.
We also look after our carers: fair pay, proper rest, transport home late at night and support when a booking is hard. Happy carers are the ones who turn up tomorrow.

We recently stayed at Mandira Beach Resort in Legian and Kadek (Udi, as she is referred to) was the angel we needed on our trip. She took care of our rambunctious 16-month-old and 2.5-year-old so that my husband and I could enjoy some child-free time on our honeymoon.
She took them swimming, feeding the fish and turtles at the resort, played games and even made the kids balloon animals, all while sending us updates on them.

Across the island
We are based in southern Bali and send babysitters and nannies to villas, hotels and resorts right across the island: the beach towns of Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Legian and Jimbaran, the resorts of Nusa Dua and Sanur, the cliffs of Uluwatu and the Bukit, and Ubud in the hills. Other areas, and nearby islands, by arrangement.
